My name is Trung Nguyen. I love exploring different corners of science and writing scientific software.
I'm currently a PhD student at UT Austin, supervised by Dr. Yan Leng. My research focuses on LLM interpretability and economic preferences, inspired by the use of LLMs in two applications: providing financial advice and recommending products in online retail. I also designed an active learning algorithm with Dr. Eric Price and Joey Zhou.
Before this, I was an AI resident at VinAI, where I was exposed to various topics: optimal transport, 3D point cloud learning, hand detection, and self-driving cars. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Applied Math from HUST.
